Big Sky, MT. – Obermeyer Yamaha/Raines Riding University/ rider Brad Bakken joined the top riders in off road for the KENDA Big Sky XC this past weekend. Brad put in an impressive ride in the extreme Montana conditions. As the green flag dropped Brad was up front in the mix with a fourth place start. At the end of the first lap he had fallen back to 7th due to a few mistakes. Brad found his way to Grant Baylor’s back wheel and made the pass putting him into the 6th position for the next three laps. As the race went on Brad managed to make his way back up to the lead group and worked his way into the top three! Once there he set his sights on AmPro Yamaha rider Jordan Ashburn. On the last lap Brad was able to make a pass on Ashburn and managed to settle into the second place position where he would finish the day.
Brad was also awarded the Nathan Woods Hard Charger award for charging back from a 7th place position to a podium position finish. The team would like to thank all of our sponsors for making this finish possible for Brad!
